The Athlete Development Academy LLC

I am a biomechanics coach with a clinical and personal background in sports. I help athletes develop by teaching them proper movement mechanics and drilling them into habits. I will increase your speed, improve your agility, improve your vertical, and decrease injuries.

What to expect in sessions: in order to change the neuromuscular patterns to promote the highest efficiency in running, I look for maximum effort and focus over a short distance. The drills focus on proper pattern reinforcement as well as coordination and plyometric training.

I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy and began practicing in 2010. I received my degree from one of the best therapy programs in the country: #15-ranked Marquette University. At Marquette, I was also a standout basketball player. I helped my team achieve multiple accolades while competing in the Big East Conference. I am originally from St. Petersburg, Russia, and I moved to the States in the year 2000. I spent the first 4 years of my career in Chicago, IL. Then I met my husband, who serves in the Air Force, and we spent the next 7 years in NJ. After that, we did a 3-year tour in O’Fallon, IL, where I got to work closely with their Parks and Rec Department and was able to offer beach volleyball and running classes as well as continue with private clients on volleyball, basketball, running, and therapy services. We came to Altus in August of 2024, and I look forward to meeting new athletes and their families and seeing where this journey takes us. More about Dr. Lana

I am Dr. Lana and I am a bit of a nerd and a jock in one. I love, love, love sports, the strategy, the physical abilities, the drama, the will, the grit, the intensity! But I also can’t get enough of learning about: why do we move how we move, what’s the best way to improve it, why do some athletes look effortless and others are always grinding themselves into the ground? After playing D1 ball I came out tough as nails and with chronic back pain. I bring passion, intelligence, compassion and all of my knowledge over 17 years of studying the human body to help my athletes.
